Who are we?
We are a primary school in the centre of coastatal Andalusian town, Adra, in the province of Almería.
Who are we?
More than 450 students learn at San Fernando Bilingual Primary School. Our bilingual teachers teach Natural and Social Science, Arts and Music in English and Spanish. Bilingual P.E. is also offered when we have bilingual staff to accompany this class.
Other services
The school is opened at 7.30 to receive the students in the "Aula Matinal", the early day care classroom in provided for working parents who need child services until class begins.
We also offer Sports School and chess workshops (Chesscuela) in the afternoons

Adra offers you many places in which entertain or relax: calm strolls by the sea in its long seafront going from the neighbourhood of El Lance to the far end of the city seafront, or a drink in one of its lively and enjoyful bars or cafés. Its has a variety of outdoor activities such as sailing, fishing, Nordic Walks, Yoga looking at the sea, hiking and others. Here you have a brief on our school and our town. San Fernando Bilingual Primary School
San Fernando Bilingual Primary School comprises education from three to eleven year old children. Kindergarten stage has three levels 3, 4 and 5 year-olds. Primary education goes from 1st to 6th grade. Each level has, mainly, two groups though there are some levels with three groups. The school is formed by three buildings around a rectangular playground. Due to covid protocols at break time every class has its own parcel of the playground to play. The kindergaten and 1st cycle building, the gym and special needed classes building and the main building (at the botton of the photo) where you can find the headteacher's, secretary, photocopy, library, music and staff rooms is how the school is settled.

Activities
This is us. In our school we celebrate anniversary days such as the International Peace Day (photo) and other extra curricular activities to commemorate special dates or festivals. As a bilingual school there are activities within the bilingual programme related with the English speaking countries festivities: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Groundhog, Saint Patrick's Day and others.

Our town. San Fernando Bilingual Primary School is in the centre of Adra, a portuary city in South-east Andalucía. Adra is not a very big city, it has a population of about 25.000 inhabitants. It is 55 km from the capital city of the province, Almería, and one and a half hours by highway from the beautiful Granada. Click on the photo above to visit the Town Hall page.
The virgin beaches of Cabo de Gata in Almería are only one hour by car from Adra. You can stay in the Natural Park either in a bungalow in a camp site or a hotel room. The Alpujarras, close to Adra, with its white villages, like Laujar or Berja offering clean air and fresh natural spring water, spot the mountains.
